The focus area of the proposed course is Development and Society.

This area covers issues, knowledge and practices that, at the present time, take on a strategic and multidisciplinary character, given the current centrality of processes that focus on complex issues involving people and organizations. The proposal is to develop interdisciplinary studies addressing aspects related to the development dynamics involved with the semiarid region in that it assumes that the region is the result of a process of social construction, marked by limits and potential that particularizes.
